President's Day

Posted by Picasa

On President's Day we went with some Friends down to SLC for some kid time fun. We wanted to ride the front runner only to find out it does not run on Holidays. We just drove down instead. We went to the Discovery Museum, planetarium and the Church history museum. It was a very busy day. We need the day at Temple Square. I loved that I was able to spend time with my boys and Hubby.

Teacher B-day Gifts

WARNING!!!!!! I am not a seamstress. I can sew, that is all I claim to do.

This is for Corbo's teacher. I am the room parent for his class. I thought how fun to do any apron with the kids names on it, Plus a cook book with the kids favorite recipe. This is first apron that I have ever made. The names are going on the bottom with a white ribbon. The cook book is getting done by one of the other MOMS in the class room. Thank you JENNY!!!!

After I finished Corbo's Teacher apron, I was looking at the birthdays and realized Dal's Teachers b-day was 2 days before. I called the room parent and ask if she was doing anything. She said no and didn't even know the b-day was next Wed. I told her what I did for the other teacher and then I guess I said I would make one for Dal Teacher. That is all a little fussy. I then looked at my email last night and found out that the only time to pull the kids out of class without the teacher knowing was TODAY.

I then made a trip to Walmart at 7:30 this morning and found this cute material. I made this apron and had the kids sign there names on the pockets.
The picture don't do them justice. They are so cute I had a hard time wanting to put the kids names on them.

V-Day Decorations

This is a Christmas wreath I found after Christmas for 1.00 at Walmart. My first thought was great I now have a something to hang on my door for Valentines. I found the cute hearts at Dollar tree and the sign I made with stuff laying around the house. I am loving the sparkle stuff.

This what my entry table looks like with all the Valentine stuff on it. See the tree it has a funny story to it, but I got it at Walmart for a Dollar too or should I say 3 of them.

I went shopping with a Friend when she showed me these candy canes and said: "Wouldn't these make a cute Valentine heart." YES they do. We each bought 2 candy canes and made a heart out of them.

This my center piece. If some of these things look familiar to save money I switched out the blue and put in the red. I did the same for my chandelier. I even kept out most of my red from Christmas so that I can decorate for Valentines.

My Dal turned 9 last week and it felt like a we celebrated all week.
This was on his real birthday Mark got home at 4:30 and had to leave at 5 for a scout meeting. Then at 6 we had basketball practice.
We opened up presents and had cake in a half hour.

Here are some of the games we played at the party. We made Lego men heads out of marshmallows and colored them. We made the boys pick up Lego's with chop sticks and move then to another bowl. We had a yarn maze downstairs that the had to untangle before they got the prize at the end. We also played darts with the Nerf guns, made light sabers with form insulation, had pizza and cupcakes.

Dal had a great party. I told the boys we don't have party's after 8, but since we moved we wanted Dal to have more friends over to get to know. I and my house survived 8 boys in my house

Snow

When all of my Christmas decorations came down my house felt a little bare. I keep my snowman stuff up until the end of January but this year I add a little more. I kept out all the things silver and made a trip to Hobby Lobby and Walmart. With everything 50% off I pick up the blue and white stuff. For about 5 dollars I change things around to make it look like a winter wonderland in my house. This will keep until the Valentine stuff comes out.
