What is on your TV?

Olympics, Olympics, Olympics My kids are adicted to the Olympics. Dallen Loves Michael Phelps and all swimming events. He loves track and field which hasn't started yet but we are ready. He will tell you about six different country's flags and who we want to win. We have it on all day long.

Horse Show

So after my very busy weeks I was not going to do the horse Show on last Sat. My mom called on Thur. and ask what time to be here so she can help. I thought about it and decided to just bite the bullet and do it. So my very wonderful mom came up on Friday to help me. We took the boys down to the area to practice. My mom thought Dallen had to Gallup the horse so she was working with Dallen to Gallup and got the horse galloping which meant Dallen ended up in the dirt in the middle of the area. I was watching and it was all in slow motion Dallen half off holding on to the saddle then on the side and finally on the ground. He got pretty scraped up all the way down his chest and on his face. But he got back on and rode.
The next day we went to the arena after giving both horses baths and trimming them up, making sure I had all the equipment for both horses and boys we made it there. We got them all ready and Dallen after the Fall the night before was scared we had to talk him into everything he did. We did the lead line with both boys and Corbin loved it. Then Dallen did walk trot by himself and did really well. We told him to follow this kid and he did completely. He Did really well for his first time and placed fourth. He was really happy.

What we have been up to

OK so after Trek I have been in a whirl wind of activity. To start with Mark and I had to go down and pick up the Boys from my parents. Which was on the 24th of July and we were in the parade there. My mom had this cute little float and the boys loved it and had fun sitting and waving. Mark walk with my Parents and I got to Drive. We got back late the night and I went to work the next day.
We then took the boys to Lagoon on Sat.

We found out that just because you get in cheap does not mean that you should go. After lunch we had an 45 min to an hour in all lines. It was nuts.
Well after that week we went camping with Marks family. We decide to go up the night before everyone else. Well I told Marks sister and the whole family decided the same thing. But we had fun playing in the water and hiking.

Trek Update

I loved it and would do it again in a heart beat. I can not believe how much fun I had all my stress was for nothing.
Our first day it was overcast, a little bit of rain and a lot of wind. The wind blew all night long and at 2:30 in the morning I thought, what did I get myself into? My tent was laying flat on us and I needed to be up at 6:00 to get food for breakfast. It was at this time I realized what I am complaining about? I at least have food, the pioneers got 12oz of flour. I fell asleep right after that.
The next day we walk to Martin's Cove and you could feel the spirit as you walk around this corner. It felt like someone shut the door on you. I wanted to turn around a walk back in.It was great.
Now the Third day was the best. We were at the Willy center and Rocky Ridge. We start and the men got called to war and the women had to pull the handcarts by ourselves. It was straight up a hill and I didn't think it was that hard. Now if you ask the men the say they struggled just to walk up it. But the best part was when we reached the top and you saw all the men standing there with their hats off and hands over their hearts you could just feel the love and respect that they had for us.
We finished the women’s pull and went on to cross the sweet water river. The first time was silent and very special. The Third time we crossed our company got ambushed by the Purple company and we were all wet. We stayed and ambushed the two remaining companies it was a lot of fun. There is so much more to trek, this was just some of the highlights.

TREK

9 days and counting. I am getting scared for the fact I don't know what to plan for. Yes they gave me a checklist which I have already packed everything on it, but if you know me you know I like to be prepared. I went to church today and talked to one of the stake leaders and she starts asking me all of these question for trek and I say "I don't know, I am supposed to have my own tent and dutch oven." Apparently my ma and pa are supposed to have gotten a hold of me and they haven't. All I know is that on next wed. at 4:00 am I am meeting at the stake center with all of my stuff.

The other thing with Trek is that My mom thinks that I will look like a Gypsie so to show you all I don't look like a Gypsie I look like a Hill Billie. And I know you all want one of these outfits. I will help make them as soon as I get back.

Yes this is what I will be in for 4 days outside walking in the middle of July. Can we all say that I am going to be HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 4th

Ok since we don't have family around and we already did the parade and fireworks the week before for Syracuse we went to the Zoo on the 4th of July. We Had a lot of fun. It was over cast and didn't get hot until we were close to being done
