Back to School

Today is Dallen's and Corbo's first day of school. I can't believe I have a 1st and 3rd grader. What am I going to do all day by myself?

Getting Ready for School

On Monday the Boys will be going to school, so I took this week to prepare my house. The boys have to have matching back packs. So I made sure they grabed the right in the Mornings with a little vynly lettering. I am also really bad a keeping any school work that comes home. So I made a spot for this. It is behind my door that leads into my Garage so not everyone will see. The boys will still be proud of the work they do and I won't be in trouble for throwing everything away. The clip broad is for notes or anything that has to be signed and turned back in. I hope this keeps me better organized.

Box Elder County Fair

Most of you don't know or go to your county fair, but up here it is a big deal. They cancel all church activites (scouts,YW/YM, Temple recomand interview). They even postpon school until the Monday after. So I took the boys to see what the Big deal was. The Parade lasted 1 1/2 hour from the time I started seeing floats. The boy actually got tired of collecting candy. We sat with some neighbors so saved us some seats. It was great to go and the Fair is pretty impressive too. I now know what to expect next year.

$2.00 Tuesday

My dear friend and old neighbor called me up and asked if we would spend the day with them at Thanksgiving Point. I said yes if she would spend the Wednesday before with us at the Discovery Gateway. On Wed Aug.11Th we rode front runner down to SLC and spent the day there. NO PICTURES I forgot batteries for the camera. It was fun we stop first at the Platinum then off to Discovery Museum. We spent a good 3 hours there then hurried over to the Church History Museum for the I am a Child of God Exhibit. Finally at 5:00 we were back on front runner headed home.
We then turned around and on the 17Th went down to Thanksgiving Point. It was crazy busy but fun. The boys had fun but I think that they would've had fun doing anything together. We got them $.50 cones and made them set outside while we looked around. We are both to cheap to actually buy anything. Lelia and I made sure we stop in for our $2.00 fudge. We then had lunch at IN-N-OUT. I don't understand what the big deal is with this place. We had a fun few days and are already missing my Friend. Thanks for the invited Bowen Family!

Swimming Lessons

Dallen and Corbin took 2 sessions of Swim lessons this year. I put Dallen in an up level swim class and the first time he struggled but he aced the class the next time. He can swim the length of the pool up and back in the breast stroke. He is really getting good at swimming. His next class will be getting him ready for swim teams.
Now Corbin is what we call our guppie. He goes to class to play in the water not to swim. His class is actually called the Sea Turtle so he thinks he has moved up but he has not. He also thinks that he will be a level 2 next year sad to say that is what he was this year. When he decides to swim he will but in the mean time he likes to play in the water and he always has fun.

Back To School

You would think that I am posting this for my boys but I am not. Mark is going back to school. He starts today and will go Monday Thur Thursday from 4-7 for the next 2 years. It was a very fast decision He made but everything fell into place really well. It will be hard and I am now glad I am not working. He is excited and nervous. He will get another Bachelors degree so He will have a Bachelors in Engineering and one in Technology. He will also have a Math Minor what to do with that I have no idea.
