Corbin's Birthday

Birthday Cakes from WiddlyTinks.com

I figured I will post the picture of all the fun I talked about in my last post. So to start with would be Corbin's birthday I just love the smile on his face when he see his cake. Just to let you know in our family the Cake is something big. My boys talk about it for weeks wondering what will be on there cake. I make a cake and add a toy to the top this year it was a Transformer. They don't get to see there cake until I light the candles and pull it out of the stove, they even close there eyes untill it is right in front of them.

I survived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you didn't know I had a couple of weeks that I like to call my Marathon. It started on about June 14th and has continued until today. I am so tired and can't think of what to do next now that I don't have anything pressing to do so I thought I would set down and tell you what we have been up to. On Sunday the 14th I went over to check on my horse and found he had an swollen eye. So I came back and called my mom and then found I had to wash it out and take care of it. Mark and Dallen went to church because Corbin fell asleep after all the horse stuff and while I was home my other horse decided to get wire in its feet. So then I took care of that good thing I didn't got to church. By Sunday night I had doctored 2 of my horses and was planning a Birthday for Corbin on Monday.
Monday I was scheduled to work until 1:15 at 1:40 I was on my way home for the b-day party at 2:00. Good thing my parents came up to help me and to take Corbin to get a fake bunny (He wanted a real one). I walked in and found them doing my Dishes and picking up little toys. They then helped me finish getting everything ready like decorating the cake. At 2:00 All the kids showed up and the party began. Plus the kids that were hired to wash my windows also showed up at 2:00 (I forgot to cancel him. We took the kids to Sparetime for the birthday party and had windows washed at the same time. Finished the Party back at the house and was done by 5:00. Took my mom over to my horse doctored him some more and came home in time for bed.
Tuesday Corbin's Official B-day we went to Lagoon but first I had to run to Ogden to pick up my dad's Fathers day gift. I was up in Ogden and back to Lagoon before it opened. The boys and me spent the Day at Lagoon and it was a lot of fun. We came home before 6:00 so that Corbin could go to tumbling. Got home from tumbling and found that I was doing a lot more for young women's on wed. night then thought and was not prepared.
Wed. worked until 6:00 went to young women's and certified 1st year girls for camping.
Thurs. packed and left at 3:30 to go camping with my family until Monday.
Monday came home unpacked wash all my stuff repacked for girls camp.
Tue. 7:30 am on my way to girls camp until Thur.
Thur. 12:00 am came home after testimony
Friday 8:00 in South Jordan ready to Judge a horse show.
Sat. Worked until 3:00
I am now home with loads of laundry missing my boys which are staying with my parents because of girls camp and to tired to do anything else.

Anniversary

11 years ago on Jan. 26 Mark Purposed to me. It was my birthday and we went out to dinner and on a date. It was about 10 a clock at night and we were walking around the green belt in Idaho falls we walk across the street to the temple and Mark got down on one knee and pop the Question. I of course said yes. He then gave me this ring.
We were Married on May 30Th 1998 in the Manti Temple.

Fast Forward

On May 30th 2009 Marks Mom was getting sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple (Yes on our Anniversary). So we planned a trip to Idaho and ask family to take our kids for the night so we could celebrate our anniversary after the sealing. On Sat. I woke up to find Roses on the table in the Kitchen with a card. OK backup if you don't know already Mark is really bad at gifts, or anything romantic for example paper shredder for my birthday, a how to book for valentines, and of course I don't get flowers unless I point out that he should get me flowers. So back to the Flowers on the table I was shocked a Dozen roses for me and I didn't reminded him. The day was off to a good start. Mark work until 11 then came home we all jump in the car and were off to Idaho. We got there and was able to watch my mother-in-law get sealed and it was so great to sit there and think that is what we did 11 years on that same day. I would highly recommend doing a sealing on your anniversary it is just so special and amazing feeling you walk away with.

After it was done we then took picture out side and was waiting for everyone to finish up when Mark ask to go around to the other side of the temple to take a picture. I of course made this difficult for him and said no because it was hot and that side was in the sun. He said that he wanted a picture of us where he purposed. I said we don't have a camera, so He then got his brother to take a picture. He said lets just go on our way to the car. I said but the car is the other way. He then just started walking towards the other side of the temple and I said fine and followed. His whole family followed too all wanting to know why we were walk the other direction and into the sun. When we got to the back of the temple Mark stop and look at me he said. Marci 11 years ago I ask you to marry me and we where married on this day. I love you and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you accept this ring again. He then pulled out my wedding ring and gave it to me again. But this time He had changed it a bit. I had lost one of the small diamonds in it so I stop wearing it. He had the small diamond replace, increase the main diamond and had it dipped. I was so shocked I think I yelled, giggled and said yes. This was by far the best anniversary we have had. I just love Mark so much and think he is the most wonderful husband and father. He does so much for me and he puts up with a lot from me I don't know to many that would put up with me. I always say that I had to find someone that would love me as me and I found that in Mark.

Soccer

Corbin loves to play Soccer. It is so fun to see the Difference in Kids. Dallen we had to beg, threaten, and bribe just to finish a game, but Corbin loves to just play. He is out there helping up everyone that has fallen down one game he ran around picking up the same kid at least 10 times. He also doesn't like to take it away form other kids he just lets them kick it until it gets to far head of them and then he will take it. He lets the goalie know that he is about to kick the ball in the goal to. These are all things that make watching him so much fun. All the while doing somersaults, twirls and looking up at the planes flying over head while running up the field. We are constantly yelling Corbin where's the ball go get it and he will. It was such a fun season and now we start baseball with Dallen (which he loves, just check out his uniform all folded up and laying out nicely for him).

Weekend fun

My parents came up to stay the weekend with us. We took my grandma to ride the frontrunner. We rode it up to Ogden and on the way back Mark was able to meet up with us at the Layton stop. We rode it back and went out to eat. The boys had fun riding the train. My grandma talked about her dad as a Train Engineer and Depot manager. It was fun learning things about her and spending time just talking.

California Adventure

We spent a couple of days at this park to and the boys love the new Toy Story Mania ride. IT was also the longest line at the park with no fast passes.

Jedi Training

At Disneyland they have this show where they teach the kids to be Jedi's and My boys were both chosen to be in the training. They first trained them and then Darth Vader came out and they had to fight the Dark side. The Dark side tried to get the Jedi's to change sides but lost and went away. The Jedi's then pass the training. The boys took this so serious you can tell no smiles.
